Meet the Attorneys: Jon Papin

Jon Papin is an attorney at The Vrdolyak Law Group, LLC., with over twenty-five years of experience as a commercial trucking and medical malpractice attorney. At one time, he was a partner in a large Chicago defense firm; however, for the past eighteen years, he has dedicated his law practice to representing injured persons and their families in commercial trucking cases, wrongful death, and medical malpractice. These are his primary areas of focus at Vrdolyak Law Group, LLC.

Jon holds several record Illinois jury verdicts and settlements, including $16.3 million, $13 million, and $9.858 million. Jon received the highest possible peer review rating, AV Preeminent™, from Martindale-Hubble, and was chosen by his peers as among the top 5% of attorneys in Illinois. He is a member of Illinois Leading Lawyers, Illinois Super Lawyers, and was inducted as a member of the Illinois Society of Trial Lawyers.

Jon is a past President of APITLA (Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America) and works through APITLA to reduce the number of injuries and deaths across America caused by unsafe and illegally operating trucking companies. Jon Papin has appeared on MSNBC's “Morning Joe” and has lectured on commercial trucking topics throughout America. He has successfully tried commercial trucking cases to jury verdicts in Illinois state court and in Federal court, where he is a member of the Federal Trial Bar.

Jon lives in Chicago’s South Loop with his rescue pit-bull, King. He has two grown daughters, both of whom live in Dallas, TX. One of whom is an attorney for Goldman Sachs, and the other works as an E.R. nurse. His adult son lives in Scottsdale, AZ, where he buys and sells commercial real estate.
