The Vrdolyak Law Group recovered $4.5 million for an Illinois man who sustained multiple injuries in a truck accident. The trucking company’s insurance provider originally offered a settlement that was unacceptable, citing that the victim had a pre-existing condition of rheumatoid arthritis, and was already on disability long before the incident.

“The very nature of the trucking industry breeds negligence that does not exist with other vehicles,” said Edward J. Vrdolyak.
“While it’s an industry that’s the easiest to cause serious accidents, it’s also one of the hardest from which to get fair compensation,” added Vrdolyak.
“Insurance companies frequently try to blame pre-existing conditions for a client’s injury. But, an accident can make a pre-existing condition worse, or cause new injuries. If you’re injured due to someone else’s negligence, it’s unfair to be penalized because you may have a prior condition,” said Attorney Steve Armbruster, Lead Attorney.
“We fought aggressively at trial and forced the insurance company to pay $4.5 million halfway through the jury trial,” said Vrdolyak.
