The Vrdolyak Law Group proudly supported Victory Apostolic Church’s 26th annual Taste

of Victory Community Outreach Festival, held on Saturday, July 26th, at Colin Powell Middle

School and the Matteson Community Center. The day was filled with music, fun, and community as families, neighbors, and volunteers came together to promote unity among the church, family, and businesses in the south suburbs. Vrdolyak Law Group attorney, John Puziss, had the opportunity to speak with Mayor Shelia Chalmer- Currin, who shared an inspiring message.

“I want everyone to know that they can be a part of this community…what you do and what I do is about what we can do to make a difference. And, every day when you’re making a difference for the lives of others, you’re making a difference to the lives of so many here in the village of Matteson,”said Mayor Chalmer-Currin.

This year’s festival welcomed more than 4,000 guests—an increase from 3,000 last year. Over

700 book bags were distributed, more than 300 guests received medical health screenings, and over 50 vendors attended to share their goods and services. Screenings included diabetes, prostate cancer, blood pressure, podiatry, vision, and dental care, along with school physicals for students. A Taste of Victory is committed to creating more than just a fun day out; it strives to build a meaningful experience for the entire community. By highlighting the importance of healthy living and creating a platform for local businesses to engage with the community, the festival continues to have a lasting impact.
